Composition of the supervisory board and activities of committees
The curricula vitae of the Supervisory Board members included elsewhere in this section provide information on the composition of all of the committees appointed by the Supervisory Board. The activities of the committees are discussed below. Two Supervisory Board members, Mr Doets and Mr Doijer, reached the end of their term of office. In November, Mr Doets announced that he would not be available for reappointment owing to an increase in his business activities. The Supervisory Board is very grateful to Mr Doets for the expertise he has contributed over the past four years. A new Supervisory Board member will be put forward for appointment to replace Mr Doets at the General Meeting of Shareholders on 17 April 2009. Mr Doijer is available for reappointment, and will be nominated for reappointment by the Supervisory Board.
