Geographical market spread
Corio has opted for Europe: it is large enough to create critical mass, enabling Corio to recruit high quality, professional management staff. Critical mass makes Corio an attractive partner for retailers from outside Europe, as well as facilitating the expansion of retailers within Europe. Corio has divided Europe into three types of market. While mature, stable markets and growth markets will account for the bulk of the portfolio, Corio aims to grow the share of emerging markets to no more than 20%, in pursuit of healthy growth on a sound basis.
